After playing through almost the entire game… I must say… Arles V. Felnoir… that’s some nice stuff. ALRIGHT, ALRIGHT, ALRIIIGHHHTTT! He may or may not be my favorite character in the game. I mean what’s there not to like about him, right? When he breaks into the castle to save Rath, I was like KYAAAAAAA! I just knew there was something very manly about him. I love his arrogant swag, and the fact that he is clever enough and powerful enough to back it all up, so he’s not just full of hot air. He’s probably the most sane and mature character in the entire game, maybe that’s due to the fact that he’s the eldest character. My fangirl level just rose higher and higher after seeing him in his own and the route of others. Of course, he dies a lot but it was one of his death scenes that really made him jump the charts in my favorite character list.
In this scene when Mejojo pretty much cheats in their little duel and it becomes apparent that his death is inevitable, he still continues to torment Mejojo. He laughs at him, saying he pities him and continues to laugh even while Mejojo stabs him over and over again, screaming at him to die. Finally, he collapses onto the ground and when Mejojo walks over to give him a kick, he roars and leaps up to slash Mejojo’s left eye and finally dies with a smile on his face. ♥‿♥ What a friggin’ man. I just fell in love with him right and there. Fiona also says that Arles could have killed him easily but instead just took out Mejojo’s eyes, probably knowing that Mejojo would now always live in torment from the wound his greatest enemy has given him, and since Arles would be dead, he would have nowhere to release that hatred. SIGH~ Isn’t that just… UGH! I LOVE HIM! Don’t you think that’s awesome?

I recently just started playing Black Wolves Saga. Since I play with Engrish it’s taking quite some time for me to go through everything, I refuse to give up though. I’m starting on Auger’s route first. Apparently, I’m getting the worst one out of the way, but so far I haven’t seen much of him. Something I’ve enjoyed in the game was his cruelty. I can’t explain it but there’s just something about insane characters that draw me in. He’s crazy but completely rational, he’s clever and sly, and so far, I haven’t seen his emotions get the best of him. I like that he’s in control of his own crazy. Calculating and cold characters like him provides a lot of great entertainment, no? Of course it can be annoying at times too.
So far, I think Black Wolves Saga is great. The story is woven beautifully and holds a lot of complexity, it’s also complimented by its wonderfully written characters. Nobody feels like a cardboard cut out, I haven’t really seen them suddenly acting out of character for plot, and jeez… I just love the madness that runs in all of them.

Jihae – The Silver Rabbit.
Let the fangirls scream! I told my friend once, Jihae must have a hard time walking in public cause all the girls will drop dead on
the ground when they witness his beauty. You start his route and he turns into a human while you two are at the park, you turn around and BAM! LOOK AT THAT SEXY THANG. ♥╭╮♥ Beautiful. If his looks wasn’t enough, I LOVE the voice acting for Jihae… his voice actor is Nakyoon Choi, and damn this man has a deep voice. Jihae’s voice is smooooth and deep, you just want to roll around in it all day, when he speak softly… BE WARNED HEADPHONE USES, YOU WILL SWOON ⊙﹏⊙. He’s the perfect gentlemen, call you ‘my lady’ and always being so kind and considerate, it’s hard to fall for him.
The attraction is instant and obviously he’s interested in you too, there’s so many cute scenes in this route, like the time you guys are making dinner together and things are so extremely awkward, you can feel the tension between them. In fact, the mood between the two is so awkward you both realize the dinner is burning and reach to grab the pan, but you touch hands for a second and BAM! AWKWARDNESS LEVEL UP! IT’S OVER 9000!!!!! You both screw up dinner and have to order takeout. Lol. Oh gawd, it’s just too much. I was squirming in my chair the entire scene, I couldn’t take it. Eventually you just can’t understand why you act so weirdly with him, and find it hard to natural around him. Super self conscious, can’t even stretch near him without feeling like you’re a freak. You avoid eye contact ’cause you’re shy, but he takes it the wrong way and thinks you’re avoiding him.
Eventually he starts thinking you don’t like him, he then asks if you find his look unappealing. UNAPPEALING. ARE. YOU. KIDDING. ME? LEMME SHARE AN IMAGE REAL QUICK.
HOW CAN THIS! THIS! YES THIS! HOW CAN IT BE UNAPPEALING? (ಥ ̯ ಥ)!?!?!? Of course you quickly clear up the misunderstanding and spew on about no! It’s not like that… you’re TOO attractive, have you even looked at yourself in the mirror!? Do you have any idea what you look like?!?!?! The misunderstanding is cleared and the two of you grow closer…. As you can tell from that image above, he’s a model. How perfect is that? He hides his rabbit ears behind a hat at all times so his identity is safe. Being the sexy beast that he is, he gets fangirls and omg, they are terrifying… They are like ヽ(｀Д´)ﾉ WHAT ARE YOU TO JIHAE OPPA?! WHO ARE YOU, LADY? DO YOU LIVE WITH HIM!? Unfortunately for me, I ended up with the bad ending a couple times and you suffer all the things that the fangirls do to you… they trip you, cut your hair, and when you think a nice person is taking you home, they trap you in an alley and beat you up. Jihae feels so guilty he says he’ll leave and he won’t ever appear in front of you again, I was like NO! YOUR FANGIRLS DID THIS, YOU TAKE RESPONSIBILITY! ;A; DON’T LEAVE!! -sigh- I was left traumatized by the ending. The way you know whether or not you’re going towards a good or bad ending is when you get a call from modeling agency asking if you can be Jihae’s manager because he refuses to have one. Bad ending, you agree and then suffer harassment. Good ending, he stops you and tells the agency to piss off and leave her alone or else he’ll quit, when you hear him say that you’re upset at how easily he says he’ll give up his career and kinda starts having a temper tantrum, he then explains it’s all for her and it’s because he’s worried about her and then the two officially realize their feeling and….
KYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!! (〃^∇^)ﾉ KIIIIISSSSSSS! Gah, so cute. Man, I’m so jelly, I wish I could be loved by such a beautiful man, then again if I was I would feel inferior all my life. There’s a scene where you go to a movie together and it’s a romance movie, you’re nervous about sitting next to him in the dark theater and you can barely focus until a kiss scene comes on and you can’t help but stare because you’re surprised at it, he sees you staring intently at the screen and you get all embarrassed and flustered and try to explain yourself but just end up feeling like an idiot. This is where he whispers to you and -drool- omg, I got goosebumps listening to his voice. It’s too perfect. After all that stuff you learn about his past and about him, you learn that in his world, people see him as more of an abomination than anything, he was born from a scandalous relationship with a servant and noble, not only that his silver hair is not seen as beautiful but an ominous sign. People avoided him and detested him, that is until he meets a noble woman and the two fall in love. She didn’t care about the color of his hair and loved him for him, but unfortunately her family did not accept the relationship and demanded she marry another man. Being dramatic, she commits suicide saying if she cannot be with Jihae, then she would rather die. This brings overwhelming guilt to Jihae and now you know why he joined the game, he originally joined to bring back the girl that killed herself but he realizes that everything is in the past and now he has found a new true love. The Magician appears before him and says he’s the winner of the game, and there is only one month left. Jihae says he wants to change his wish and now wants to stay with you, but the Magician refuses him and acts like a complete dick saying things like, “I was even going to bring her (the old girl) back to life from Heaven – or should I say Hell?” And taunts Jihae about his decision. He says the only way for him to stay with her, is if she wishes it… but that would be in exchange for your memories of Jihae. Of course Jihae doesn’t want you to lose your memories… so he does what he thinks is right… he… he… HE BREAKS UP WITH YOU ಥ_ಥ -sob- Everyone starts moving out because it’s time, and he also leaves saying he can’t be with you anymore, hoping that he could make you hate him so you don’t have a desperate wish and meet the Magician. THE FOOOOL! HOW CAN YOU EVER FORGET SOMEONE LIKE HIM? So of course you end up meeting the Magician and wish for him back, and when you meet him, the Magician is not happy. He is tired of you, he acts cold towards you and shoves you away from him in disgust because of your decision, why? Read my first post to figure that out. He says he’ll accept your wish and takes your memories… you wake up and have no idea where you are and beside you is… Jihae.. he’s back. You’ve lost your memories but he stays with you and tells you all about their relationship and who she used to be. It’s a bittersweet ending, I really enjoyed it a lot. Their relationship was very sweet and cute, there’s also no way you can resist Jihae’s manly charms. SERIOUSLY!? WHY IS HE SO SEXY!? ;A; I collected all his stamps and unlocked all his bonus pics. I’ll post the spoilers for that later.
Tips on his route
Dandelion is a Korean otome game published in 2012 by a new company called Chertiz. If you watched the opening, you can obviously tell how gorgeous it looks, especially the guys… hu hu hu…. I started the game with high expectations and I was not at all disappointed.
One day you (Heejung Kim) wake up to the sound of animal cries and find yourself a basket beside your bed containing a black cat, orange cat, white rabbit, silver rabbit, and a spotted rabbit. Uncertain of how they get there, due to circumstances you end up raising the animals together, but it isn’t long before an unexpected surprise changes your life forever.
Everything I’m going to write is pretty much a spoiler and things I went crazy fangirl over.
My favorite character MUST be Jiwoo, the spotted rabbit. There’s no helping it. I’m a male tsun tsun lover and he’s so damn cute!!!!!!!!!!!!! He’s very tsun but when you break into that hard outer crust, inside is a warm, soft, delicious inner layer. He’s not extremely dere, he’s the type that gives back handed compliments, and when caught on the spot, he blushes! So much blushing, I can’t take it. My fangirl meter broke when I played his route. I also have an extreme weakness for his kind of hairstyle and he’s so friggin’ adorable, don’t think? So that hair style, plus the tsundereness, plus the voice acting, plus the cute outfits just equals OMFGIMSOHAPPYICANTLIVEINTHISWORLDANYMORE!! The story of his route is quite sad, and you can see where a lot of his arrogant attitude comes from as well as random bitterness towards you when you are indecisive of exactly how you feel about your relationship with him. As you make him puddy, he proves to be a strong and super amazing boyfriend that any girl that has read shoujo mangas or watched Asian dramas would want. HE’S PERFECT. Hey! How can he be so perfect? Let me tell you… he reads a shit ton of romance novels and watches a lot of KDramas. That’ just adds to his adorable points. The best part is the reason why he reads them, to be a master of relationship. SO YES, HE READS ROMANCE NOVELS AND WATCHES DRAMAS JUST TO BE THE PERFECT ROMANTIC GUY FOR YOU! OMG. TAKE ME AWAY!
Another thing I loved about Jiwoo is that his ears always give away his emotions. He’ll yell at you and call you stupid saying he doesn’t care, but his adorable rabbit ears will be twitching to listen to you. When he’s curious or you catch his attention, his ears perk up. When he’s eating his lettuce spaghetti, every time there is a bite of lettuce, his ears move back and forth with happiness. HOW IS THIS NOT THE MOST AOIEHGOAIGO THING EVER? SERIOUSLY.
Jiwoo’s route in my opinion had the best transition from not in a relationship – to growing closer – to into a relationship. Whether it’s the cut scenes or in the game responses, his route definitely has the smoothest changes in relationship. His route is very simple and easy to follow, possibly the second easiest route next to Jiyeon. I recommend you play his route in second or third.
Phew, good to let the fan girl out, onto my next favorite character!!!
The Wizard, or as I prefer to call him the Magician.
This is a major spoiler so do not continue if you do not want the game to be ruined, it’s best to experience all the feels yourself.
After you finish all the routes of this game, you unlock a bonus that explains the background story how everything came to be.
When you play the game you realize that there is a game happening, the five animals are the contestants and you are the one that picks the winner, though you don’t understand how because every time you ask them to explain, they tell you it’s a breach in the contract. The point of the game is to earn your love, the one that earns your love wins the game and has his wish granted and he’s taken back home without losing his memory. The game all starts with the Magician. He is a being that grants wishes in exchange for memories. The only way to meet him is if you have a deep and desperate wish, and when you do he will give you his offer, but the catch is that the memory you lose must be related to the wish. So let’s say you want to save your dying family member, if you make that wish you lose all your memories of that person. The Magician knows how tragic it is, but it’s how he lives. The memories gives him magic, giving him the ability to grant the wish and at the same time sustain his life.
I believe the Magician is the true main character of this entire series despite that you only actually get to see him near the end of the game. He’s a tragic character and I’ve loved and hated him the moment I saw him because, you know what is going to happen and it’s depressing, but I love characters like him and I always had a feeling there was a different side to him. Basically the Magician is tired of his job. He grants wishes and takes memories, but at the same time, the people not only forget things related to the wish, but they forget him as well. Nobody remembers him. In short… he’s lonely. He doesn’t exactly say it straight out but it’s obvious isn’t it? Wouldn’t it be nice to be remembered for what you’ve done? Unfortunately everyone he encounters will never remember him. Because of his loneliness he picked up a hobby… stalking the main heroine… he’s been following her for years and he begins to realize how much he’s in love with her. If you played you’ll know the heroine has an overbearing mother who expects to much of you and basically controls you entire life, he’s fascinated at how she doesn’t break away from her mother or rebel, but instead continue to seek out her mother’s love that just isn’t there. He begins to think, if she can love a mother like that, then is there a possible chance that she can love a cruel being like him? So then the games begin…. he spends a lot of time waiting for the perfect contestants, he obsesses over the game, he says he wants to see all kinds of expressions from her, sadness, happiness, anger, love, hate, everything. He wants to take away the one you fall in love with in the end so that she has a wish that desperately want granted and at last meet. The first game ends, they meet. In the game he comes off as a cruel ass hole that takes away what’s important from her… in his perspective, he’s just so happy to finally meet her, after so long. Yet, she can’t understand his love, can she? His obsession? No, instead he has to grant her wish for her memories and watch her be happy with another man, he can only meet her once and that one meeting it’s clear she does not like him. He thought just meeting her was enough, but obviously it isn’t…. so he overextends his powers and turns back time and he starts the same game again… this time with another winner… and again.. and again… can you see how you replaying the game is all part of his plan? Eventually he says he can’t do this anymore, he can no longer idly stand by and just watch her live her life, because he desperately wants to be a part of it. He loses all desires to continue living, and he makes a final decision to use all his abilities to create another world where he can be human, and he says that as long as he’s living in the same world, perhaps there’s a chance they can meet… perhaps there’s a chance she can fall in love with him. He grants himself his wish and we are left with a final CG…
This is the ending of the entire game. I found it extremely sweet and heart breaking. I always watched for the Magician’s response and actions in the end of the game cause they were always different. Fortunately for me, I played in a order that set this up perfectly, and after every ending, I can see him growing more and more agitated, and it makes sense now as to why he was like that because he’s seen the ending of the game so many times for so long. If it wasn’t for Jiwoo, the Magician would definitely be my favorite character. I loved him and his story, and what he did for the sake of her. I love his twisted version of love and his thoughts and feelings that he tries to justify it with. He’s cruel, but he may probably be the character that loved her most.
Overall
I loved this game, and I will always love it. It’s a beautiful game in many aspects, and definitely without a doubt worth the amount you pay for it. I mean, c’mon, it’s only $30! I would deem this game my favorite so far, but I’m still new to the whole otome seen and I still have a lot more of them to experience (though they are in Japanese), but I think Dandelion would still be one of the best. I recommend this to everyone and anyone.
